Borjana Mrdja was born in Banja Luka in 1982, where she currently lives and works. She got her Masters Degree in Painting department at Academy of art in Banja Luka in 2010. She is working as an assistant of Painting and Drawing at University of Banja Luka. ``Body often takes defensive attitude towards surrounding. Body field is submissive to certain mappings, inscriptions or conditions arising from the environment - social, political, religious, space usurped by media and individual too. These media/spatial differences, in which the human body is situated, are seriously affecting the partition of subjective and objective body image. That's why I'm trying to locate matrixes that are used by progressive body image to direct relation of subject towards one's own body as an object of ambition or self supervision. Then I am applying those matrixes as an artistic practice.`
